As a parent, you do whatever you can to keep your kids happy, healthy and safe. Part of being a good caregiver means anticipating the best but being prepared for the worst. You always want to keep your children safe and sound, but every day up to 2,000 kids may be reported missing in the United States.
For more than 15 years, Lifetouch has partnered with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) to help provide law enforcement with the most valuable tool when a child goes missing—a current photograph. Lifetouch school pictures have assisted in the recovery of children in 24 states. Additionally, Lifetouch distributes SmileSafe photo ID cards—free for your school’s families.
Lifetouch plays a critical role in the recovery of missing children. We take this job to heart; we provide every child we photograph a SmileSafe card that be used in the event a child goes missing. Because this kind of service should never come at a price, we provide it at no cost. Learn more about how Lifetouch and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children are partnering together to bring more than 1 billion free SmileSafe ID cards to families across America. How it works
Follow these three steps to protect your family:
Step 1: Tell your Center Director
The SmileSafe program is offered in most preschools that use Lifetouch as their photography partner. If you’d like this program in your school, please tell your center director
Step 2: Receive a free SmileSafe card
After Picture Day, you will receive a free SmileSafe card from Lifetouch.
Step 3: Store the SmileSafe card in a safe place
Keep in your SmileSafe card in a safe place that's easily accessible. Do not give the card to your child to play with.
